Small, impoverished, demoralized, uneducated, or projection capability, so are the armed forces of our country, which this year will register the lowest defense budget in terms of GDP for the last forty years: only 0.9 percent , according to World Bank statistics, recognized by the Government.

The figures show a bleak picture: a percentage of GDP, Argentina only exceeds the small state of Suriname in military spending in the region and the country is unprotected. According to the forces and expert estimates, before a possible war, the firepower of the Navy is "two hours" Army "is counted in days" and the Air Force can not be calculated, because the old Mirage aircraft are able to "deter" and can not act for lack of radar.

While Latin America is armed and modernizing the equipment of his forces, and Britain mobilized military personnel to defend the oil exploitation and fisheries of South American colony, the Falkland Islands, Armed Forces of Argentina can not guarantee any invasion of airspace and maritime, as indeed happen. The government, meanwhile, holds his Argentine Plan for Modernization of Defense System, which strictly respects as important as gender issues and discrimination, but leaves out others such as investment, education and employment contracts completely blank.
