Putin approved the sale of S-400 to China
Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in principle to the sale of anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 to China, the newspaper "Kommersant", citing a source close to the Kremlin. Negotiations with China on the delivery of anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 conducted over the past three years. Over the past few years, China is actively interested in the purchase of Russian anti-aircraft missiles. In 2007, the country signed a contract to supply 15 battalions of S-300PMU-2 and four management systems 83M6E2. Delivery of these systems was completed in April 2010. Complexes were a part of the air defense systems in Beijing, Shanghai and several other major Chinese cities.
