Rear Admiral Trần Thanh Nghiêm, commander of the Vietnam People's Navy, recently inspected the 679th Coastal Missile Brigade.



The 679th is one of the VPN's 5 coastal defense missile brigades and is equipped with a battery of 4K44 Redut-M.



In comparison newer units such as the the 681st & 682nd Brigades are armed with the K-300 Bastion-P coastal defense system & Yakhont missiles.
