The Philippine Navy’s frigate BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) has conducted Anti-Submarine Warfare Evasive Maneuver. It also simulated sub-surface engagements using torpedo and torpedo countermeasures.

The said maneuver and simulation were conducted within the vicinity of Cabra Island, Mindoro while it was sailing for Philippine Navy Exercise “Pagbubuklod” 2021.

According to Philippine Fleet, Exercise Pagbubuklod focuses on validating organizational structure, concepts of operations, and published doctrines that address the current and future scenarios in the operational areas.

“Exercise Pagbubuklod will be able to direct the efforts and capabilities towards a common goal that provides a moral compass for the organization on how ready and equipped we are in addressing traditional and non-traditional threats,” it added.

“Also, it will help the establishment of standards in performing our mandated task, leading to doctrinally sound, responsive, and goal-oriented decisions and actions,” the Philippine Fleet said. (Mintfo)
