Russia will complete deliveries of Yak-130 aircraft to Vietnam in 2021

Moscow, INTERFAX.RU - Deliveries of Yak-130 combat training aircraft to Vietnam are planned to be completed this year, said Dmitry Shugaev, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of the Russian Federation.
"It is planned to complete the implementation of the contract for the supply of Yak-130 combat training aircraft to our Vietnamese partners by the end of this year," he told reporters on Saturday.
Shugaev noted that in the near future it is planned to resume negotiations with Hanoi on other aviation equipment.
"In addition to the Yak-130, Vietnam is also interested in the Su-30 fighters and the Yak-152 training aircraft," the head of the FSMTC said.
According to media reports, in 2019, Vietnam and Russia signed a contract for the supply of at least 12 Yak-130 combat training aircraft worth over $ 350 million .
In September 2019, the general director of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, said that Vietnam was among the largest customers of Russian military products, and cooperation between the countries is going on in all types of weapons.
As Interfax reported earlier, Vietnam bought from Russia four Gepard-class frigates, six Project 636 Varshavyanka submarines, 12 Molniya missile boats ( 2 - direct delivery and 10 - licensed production ), a mobile coastal missile system " Bastion "with a unified supersonic self-guided Yakhont anti-ship missile, as well as several divisions of S-300PMU1 anti-aircraft missile systems, 32 Su-30MK2 fighters, Igla MANPADS and other weapons.
