China and Russia concluded a deal for the procurement of four to six S-400 units in November 2014, making Chinese armed forces the first foreign customer of the Russian-made S-400. The first regiment of S-400 was delivered to China in May 2018.

It has been in service with the Russian Armed Forces since 2007.
The S-400 missile can hit aerial targets at a range of up to 400 kilometers and tactical ballistic targets flying at a speed of 4.8 km/s at a distance of up to 60 kilometers. Such targets include cruise missiles, tactical and strategic aircraft and ballistic missile warheads.
The system’s radars of S-400 can detect aerial targets at a distance of up to 600 kilometers.
Que China cuente con estos SAM es seguramente una preocupación para los que tienen a los chinos entre ceja y ceja. Estos misiles no son para tomarlos a la ligera.
